Logo design for singer/songwriter

Hi! I'm a musician in need a unique, identifiable logo to put on posters, t-shirts, stickers, etc.

I would love to have a design that incorporates Celtic knotwork or is reminiscent of that style in some way. My music is mostly modern folk but I also do a lot of stuff with a Celtic flavor - you can get an idea of it from the recordings I have on my site: summerrussell.com

I'm open to any ideas the designer suggests, but some of the elements I have in mind are: birds, feathers, leaves, trees (think "tree of life") and/or guitar strings. Maybe a bird with wings that turn into guitar strings or something. Like I said, the main goal is for it to be recognizable so it will eventually be associated with my name as a performer.

Ideally, I would very much like to have two images: a larger, more complex design that can go on t-shirts and posters, and a smaller, simpler design for pinback buttons and small stickers. I'm an independent artist with a day job, so I don't have a record company budget to work with - I can offer $100 up front for at least the large design. I know that's not a lot. If anyone is feeling generous enough to do both for that price, I'd be thrilled, but we can talk about it and maybe pursue the second design separately at a later time.

I need the rights to reproduce the design online and on my merchandise, and while I don't expect to profit much from that (any money I make from it will go straight back to my recording fund) I am perfectly open to paying the artist a percentage of whatever money comes from it in the future.
