Seeking concept artist

Seeking talented artists with strong skills in designing and drawing mecha and robots to design new miniatures for a new science fiction miniatures game currently being produced. Designs can be in the medium of your choice but should be high resolution digital images in either TIFF, PNG or PSD format (PSD preferred).

Not looking for highly stylized mecha found in some Gundam series or like Evnagelion. Nor am I looking for "walking tank" designs like Battletech. Rather, looking for more plausible designs akin to Shinji Aramaki's designs in Bubblegum Crisis, Madox-01 and Megazone or Shōji Kawamori of Macross and Armored Core fame.

* $50-$150 USD per concept depending on quality of work and medium

* 4-5 concepts over the next few months (approx one per month)

* Looking for front and back views along with weapon/accessory breakout

* Strong background in mechanical design a plus

* Payments: 50% upon acceptance of job; remainder upon completion of job with delivery of final high resolution artwork within 24-hours of receipt of final payment; major changes or additions to a concept will be handled in a similar manner with agreement on additional cost and 50% of additional cost paid up front.

Workflow

Below is typically how I like to work commissions, this is not set in stone but gives you an idea what to expect.

Phase 1: I send you an e-mail with description of concept along with any attached artwork for reference to begin the commission. During this phase we exchange several e-mails discussing ideas until we are both on the same page as to the concept of the piece. This is when you also send me a quote for the concept. Once we are ready to proceed to Phase 2 50% of payment is made.

Phase 2: You do several rough sketches of the concept. At this stage I'm looking for for general shape and profile of the design rather than specific details. Usually I make a few comments and pick one or two and we move onto Phase 3. This is why Phase 1 is so important, as if we're on the same page as to the direction of the design we can quickly move forward rather than going back and redoing Phase 2.

Phase 3: You take the feedback and work up a more detailed piece. A low resolution piece is then sent for my final approval and any revisions at this time.

Phase 4: You take the piece to its final stage of a completed concept and e-mail me a low resolution final sample for approval. On a rare occasion I may have one or two very minor revisions at this stage (they would be very minor like remove that antenna). Minor revisions are made and sent back for approval. Upon final approval remainder of payment is made with delivery of final high resolution artwork within 24-hours.

To Apply

E-mail 3-4 examples of your work or a link to your relevant work to jason@ground-pounder.com along with you average rates. Relevant works should be mechanical designs, ideally mecha and robot designs. http://bit.ly/4tqJfB

Looking for artist

This is a paying job, albeit not much. I am looking at paying around $10-20 per penciled page. I am an artist myself and will ink and color the work. There will be artist royalties so it has potential to make more. It is based on my screenplay which has gotten some recognition and based on a few hollywood screenwriters and producers I spoke to they really encouraged me to turn this into a graphic novel, which ironically the idea started out as. please send submissions to stephenmacneil79@hotmail.com Try to send sequential art (3-5 pages) and some other variants to show your range. Thanks, and serious offers only please http://bit.ly/2lTNZC
