Freelance 3DSMAX generalists

Elara Systems Inc., seeks freelance 3DSMAX / After Effects generalists to work onsite for a 30-90 day contract.



At Elara, we specialize in visual communication and new media creation in the form of 3D animation, motion graphics and interactive content. Much of the work we create is technical, medical, pharmaceutical and industrial animation.



The position is on-site in our Sacramento, CA studio. Please do not respond if you cannot work on-site. Much of the work will involve confidential technologies and products and will require an NDA.

You will work closely with our small team of designers developing and creating short animations and 3D content.



High Level requirements:

- A minimum of 3-4 years industry experience in 3D animation and motion design.

- Demo Reel (Please be ready to explain exactly which portions of your demo reel you completed independently). We will not consider any resumes that do not include a demo reel or link to a web hosted demo reel.

- Strong communication and problem solving skills are necessary to work within our team environment

- Ability to communicate your ideas and receive critique from others

- Must be able to handle multiple projects with the ability to meet tight project delivery deadlines



Minimum skill set required:

- 3D Studio Max: highly skilled generalist

- Experience developing and integrating CG elements into After Effects.

- Strong understanding of multi pass 3D rendering and compositing

- Strong understanding of lighting/shading/texturing principles and techniques.

- Knowledge of rendering techniques and optimization of render times.

- Ability to work within a style established by the Client / Creative lead.

- Solid work ethic and a positive attitude in the face of challenging situations.

- Strong time management skills and organization.



Other desired skills:

- Vray, Maxwell render, other 3rd party renders.

- Real Flow, Krakatoa

- Boujou / 3D tracking software

- 2D design tools - Illustrator / InDesign / Flash

- DVD authoring – Encore



Pay $40.00 /hour
