We have a fighting/dice game combo (think "Super Puzzle Fighter"-type) that is nearly complete. It has multiple game modes, leader boards, character leveling, super powers, etc etc... lots of good stuff. However, we are lacking final art. Target aim:

3D Character Artist/Animator Needed

Project name:

“Serial RPG Project”





Brief description:





The game is a “serial RPG” that is being created using XNA and delivered over Xbox Live, and possibly other platforms. A serial RPG is made up of short, downloadable episodes (1 to 3 hours of gameplay) that make up a larger, ongoing story. Ideally, a new episode will be released each week and save data carries over to each new episode. It is a semi-3D game that uses 2D sprites.



The first episode (and template for all episodes) is in mid-development – and this is a conservative estimate. The level editing engine for the game is finished and we are finishing some of the in-game menu systems.



Our greatest asset in this project is that we are following game design blue prints that have been meticulously planned down to the finest detail. We strongly believe that every good project begins with a good plan. Everything that can be planned should be planned in advanced - but of course, never chiseled in stone. Thanks to our fine planning we’ve been able to take this project very far and now see an end in sight.



Because everything has been planned, all tasks and requirements have been clearly defined. If you just want to be told what to do without a lot of back-and-forth and foggy ideas – this is the project for you. If you want to pitch ideas then this is probably not the project for you. All the concept art and animation videos will be provided to you.





Target aim:

This game will be developed for the xbox live indie games platform. There will also be a PC version.



Compensation:

This pays, but not much. I insist on paying all team members at each milestone in order to keep things professional and consistent. This is not enough money to compensate you for your time and skill. You would have to find compensation in your interest in the project and your desire for experience. After we launch the first episode, everyone who sticks around for the series is able to negotiate a real salary.





Technology:

The game will be programmed in C#. Since the previous artist used 3DStudioMax, you will need to be able to use that or at least convert existing models to new software.



Talent needed:

Unfortunately, our character artist and animator had to leave the project with about 50% of his work finished. We need someone to take over where he left off and create the remaining characters and animations. All the required characters and animations are already defined and you will be given explicit concept art and even some videos to complete the characters and animations. I am attaching some art that was made by our previous artist. You will have to match his style although you will build your own models from scratch.





Team structure:

FLASH DESIGNER NEEDED

Before I start, let me say that this isn't a RIGHT NOW project. I'm not gonna be needing this service until a few months from now. I'm just looking for the right designer ahead of time.



Here's the deal. We're starting up a website that's gonna play our own personal home videos. We want the look of the site to be "futuristic/professional/etc." We're also looking to charge people to watch our videos, so we're gonna need a way to process payments. I want for the people to be able to watch the videos only on the website without being able to download it to their computer. This site is also gonna need to be maintained and updated. regularly. Along with the web design, we're gonna need some graphic design work thrown in the mix too. Need Letterer - PAID

Hi, I'm part of a group producing a print anthology that will be distributed at conventions around the country starting with the Boston Con this spring, plus Chicago, Charlotte, and others. It will include a Foreword from a well-known editor, and should provide some great exposure for the Letterer and other creators involved.



This is a PAID assignment, not a back-end "royalty-and-a-prayer" project. (ha)



So, I'm looking to hire a freelancer to letter a 5-page story plus a sixth "intro" page.



The (interior) intro page will contain a "title" story logo/heading (the series title, that would normally appear as the title on a cover), then a paragraph on the story premise, followed by paragraphs on the creators, including the letterer, of course. The intro page will also contain a spot illustration of a character from the story.



The 5 pages of sequentials contain mainly word balloons (light to medium density both in number of word balloons and words per balloon), few captions, and a handful of SFX sounds.



The story is set in the near future in the "real" world, but does contain some unusual animals/mythological-type beasts.



The script is complete and the artwork is underway. The artwork files should be available in about 4 weeks, and the deadline for completed lettering will be sometime mid- to late January. Our production deadlines will allow a couple weeks for the lettering.

What has worked best in the past is for the wings to be created in 3D then output at differing degrees of rotation to create different POV. The finished wings should either be in PSD or PNG format with a transparent background. It is important that the wings be realistic in style. One set will look very simialr to dragonfly wings, be transparent and irridescent, another will have the basic shape of butterfly wings, and be white and gold.

A new political party is being formed in Sweden and is in need of a party symbol. The text below contains information concerning both the work and the organization it will represent. Please ask us if you have any questions or concerns. Furthermore, we expect the following information to be kept confidential.



The party seeking the symbol currently consists of a small group of people gathered to try to get sweden politics to take a new direction, focusing on issues concerning individual rights, democracy and economy. The ideology of this party is Paleoconservatism or Paleolibertarianism (Paleoconservatism in particular) and may be associated with organizations such as the Campaign for Liberty in the United States, political representative Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, Paul Rand and historical figures as Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson. We have been working to put these thoughts and ideas in a Nordic perspective where we are working politically for greater individual freedom, more democracy and a broader Nordic cooperation (rather than internationalization by the EU). Based on this, we have chosen to call our party the Nordic Freedom Party, Freedom, because this is our goal and heritage from our paleoconservative ideology and Nordic because we have the ambition to establish our party and political movement in all of the Nordic countries and promote a deeper Nordic Community (rather than internationalization by the EU).



Almost all of the swedish parliamentary parties have choosen some kind of flower as their party symbol (Except for the Moderate party). Traditionally, it is quite common for political parties to choose a plant or an animal as their symbol worldwide. Of originality (as said before, most swedish parties have plants as their symbol), we chosed an animal instead that also can be linked to Norse mythology, after all we are a Nordic party.



Currently, we only have partly descriptive pictures, which amplify our desires on the party symbol, there is no complete picture to build upon more than a very poor amateur version that can be attached via e-mail.



"A great silver raven embraced with the circle of eternity" is our party symbol described with a single sentence. Our party symbol is a raven (intended to be one of Odin's two ravens Hugin and Munin from Norse mythology, the bird itself symbolizes freedom and independence) of silver (to symbolize something original against the establishment, something exclusive and elegant), often (with opportunity to vary) set against a dark blue/navy blue background (dark as it highlights the color of the raven and get it to shine, blue is generally a color that makes a calm appearance and political stands for the conservatism (in Sweden and Europe) and also liberalism and libertarianism (in Sweden and Europe) are included). The raven will have visible feathers (not too detailed, though) of silver and one eye (the only one visible) of emerald, shining deep green (green is also a calming color, linked to nature and according to some pre-Christian mythology is green for the element earth and the direction north. Politically connected to the environmental awareness and in some other context, conservatism). Raven is embraced by a circle of silver (the circle represents eternity/timelessness), in our own amateur version of the party symbol it is a simple circle, and without further details/decorations, we are however open to suggestions on decorations that refer to Norse mythology and its spirit/culture (braids, knots, bolts or other things that are aesthetically pleasing).



The deadline is the end of this year (the 31th of December) but preferably as soon as possible.



We are still a very small group of people with very limited financial means and large expenditures. We also have to pay for trademark protection, registration of the organization, website, etc.. We are therefore compelled to suggest a pretty low bid of around 750 SEK/110 USD. The bid is negotiable and there are good chances for future work in successful cooperation. Despite our low bid, we want to be sure that you have what it takes to make our party symbol, working until we are satisfied (within reason of course) and respect our wishes. Creative suggestions for changes to our symbol is welcome as long as the basics is respected (silver raven, emerald eye and embracing circle).



The Raven and the circle will be the primary symbol of the party with ability to set this symbol against different backgrounds. The format should be .eps (vector format) and will be used to our website, printing of t-shirts, banners, flyers, pins and much more.

Before I start, let me say that this isn't a RIGHT NOW project. I'm not gonna be needing this service until a few months from now. I'm just looking for the right designer ahead of time.



Here's the deal. We're starting up a website that's gonna play our own personal home videos. We want the look of the site to be "futuristic/professional/etc." We're also looking to charge people to watch our videos, so we're gonna need a way to process payments. In other words, a shopping cart page(s). The site will also need a way to keep people from downloading/stealing our videos. I want for the people to be able to watch the videos only on the website without being able to download it to their computer. This site is also gonna need to be maintained and updated. regularly.
