Short term goal is completely free. As the project develops micro transactions are expected as well as potential ad-supported for revenue generation to pay project staff and potentially even game moderation staff.

Compensation:

As the project reaches toward a state of revenue generation, staffs are unpaid. It is expected that programmers and art people will be compensated at some point in the future to get the project to a point of revenue generation as well as maintenance and upgrading of the project.

Technology:

The target system is win32 clients with relatively easy porting to Linux and Mac os. The game server and client are using a privately developed game library created and maintained by the senior developer on this project which wraps opengl, strings, network, and other stuff together for easier implementation. The target language is C and C++, with opengl/sdl for graphics, TCP/UDP IP for networking, postgresql for database backends, with the server running a flavor of Linux or FreeBSD. Everything used has no licensing fee behind it and is heavily driven towards cross-platform usability. Code::Blocks IDE is used for programmers as well as subversion for version control.
