Web Designer/Developer (E-commerce)

We are an innovative, start-up company looking for highly motivated people to help bring our brand to the forefront of the apparel industry. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of strong design portfolio with 3+ years of Web design and Email design experience.



The E-commerce Designer/Developer will create and support multimedia applications aimed at enhancing the presentation and shopping experience for our customers. In addition,this position will assist with creation of email advertisements, affiliate banners,and other internet-related initiatives, as well as craft original graphics and code supporting front-end pages and banners throughout the site





ABOUT US: We are entrepreneurs with 30+ years in the sports apparel business, and we are looking to quickly build brand recognition and loyalty among the college market. And while we’ll need business-savvy, smart thinkers on our team, we also need people who aren’t afraid to be creative and who can think outside of the box. Working independently is an absolute must.



Primary Responsibilities

-all creative output from the marketing department, such as weekly promotional email campaigns (design and code), affiliate banners, landing pages (design and code), promotional ads, package inserts, direct mail pieces, logos, etc



- 3+ years experience in designing web pages other online creative elements.



- Demonstrated ability to design web pages, banner ads using HTML and Flash using Dreamweaver



- Extensive experience in using HTML, CSS and Javascript - Strong

proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Action Script



-Researches brand competitive environment and stays current with new initiatives and techniques used by leading multi-channel retailers



- Outstanding communication , presentation, and interpersonal skills - Experience with photography manipulation and retouching



-Strategically designs and produces promotional elements and emails in accordance with brand style guidelines, incorporating best practices in website design and usability



Qualifications:

- Experience in designing for ecommerce websites

- Experience in coding HTML, CSS and building complete websites

- Familiarity with ASP, ASP.Net, MS SQL and similar technologies

- Familiarity with rich media development including Ajax, Flex and advanced Action

Script

- Familiarity using web analytics to drive design and UI

- Familiar with user interface and usability testing
