We are a new start-up catering to young men aged 16-24 looking for hip, urban items to add to their wardrobe. We feel the t-shirt is a wardrobe essential for any guy and are looking for designers who will help us cater to our target market. Here's what we're looking for:
Success Characteristics:
-Enthusiasm for garment design
-Professional communication style
-Taste for both traditional and innovative illustration styles, especially as they relate to the garment design
Abilites:
-Ability to create original vector artwork of common iconic shapes and symbols (animals, cars, cityscapes, food, human silhouettes etc)
-Ability to compose vector elements into compelling garment designs
-Ability to lay out and style English text
-Ability to work with consistency in several different styles i.e. all your "classic" designs look similar, but clearly different from your "modern" designs.
Since we are a startup we'd like to let you know that while our budget per design is not exorbitant we will guarantee a minimum of 10 commissioned designs per contract. We encourage students or anyone looking to build their portfolio to apply.
Additionally, we'd categorize our style as falling somewhere between urban outfitters and bustedtees.com. Confidence, humor, and individual creativity is key to our design philosophy.
